AetherSense
An experimental platform connecting Wi-Fi signals, processing and a web interface to explore camera-free sensing.
Internship completed at LaPS/UFPA · Open to work
I'm João Natividade, a software developer and Computer Engineering student at UFPA. I build Python backends, Rust systems, automation tools, and browser graphics.
01 / SELECTED WORK
Nine views into what I like to build. Explore the context, choices and code behind each project.
IoT · Applied research
An experimental platform connecting Wi-Fi signals, processing and a web interface to explore camera-free sensing.
Product · Cross-platform
An application in the DMóvel ecosystem with web access and mobile distributions, developed in the academic context of LAPSHub.
Algorithms · Visualization
A browser-based lab comparing genetic algorithms, particle swarm optimization and differential evolution on benchmark functions.
Signal Processing · Web
Interactive lab for continuous convolution and Fourier decomposition at 120 FPS. Built with native Canvas 2D and Three.js camera projection, without third-party plotting libraries.
Published · Data visualization
A practical guide to building interactive dashboards with Python, Dash and Plotly, with learning material available in the browser.
Published · Interactive presentation
DMóvel presentation for SITEC UFPA 2026, bringing together video, project context and QR-code access to experimentation.
Public code · Automation
An MCP server for automating access to UFPA's SIGAA, exploring browser integration and authentication workflows.
Public code · Developer tools
Tools for Docker cleanup, network monitoring and MCP integration. The repository documents development with GitHub Copilot CLI.
Public code · Backend
The Python backend for Klique. Source code and development history are available on GitHub.
Contribution · Federated learning
Contribution to a federated-learning project repository with notebook experiments. Participation can be checked in the public history.
02 / PLAYGROUND
Move the controls. Watch the result. That's how I like to learn and build.
EXPERIMENT 001
A small processing experiment: adjust the noise and see how a moving average smooths a synthetic signal.
Local educational simulation. No sensors are used; these are not AetherSense measurements.
Compare GA, PSO and differential evolution in a complete lab, with 3D surfaces and adjustable parameters.
03 / THE PERSON BEHIND THE CODE
Focused on end-to-end software engineering: from API design and cloud infrastructure to signal processing and real-time browser interfaces. Practical experience in academic projects and internship at UFPA's LaPS laboratory.
Bachelor's degree in progress · expected graduation in 2026. Advanced English.
2026
FastAPI backend maintenance on AWS, Flutter/Dart screens, memory leak resolution, and dashboards with Dash/Plotly. Graded 10.0/10.
2024 — present
Python services, workflow automation with MCP, and Docker containerization.
2023 — present
Signal processing and IoT with ESP32 and Rust (AetherSense) and 120 FPS interactive Canvas 2D labs.
2022 — present
Web applications, REST APIs, and tools focused on open source and reproducibility.

04 / OUR NEXT CONVERSATION
I'm looking for a software internship where I can contribute, learn from a team and work on real problems. I'm also happy to exchange ideas about the projects.
